Piano Voicing.
Do your piano hammers have deep groves? Is the tone of your piano uneven? If so, your piano may need to be voiced. Minor voicing may be done in your initial piano tuning appointment for no extra charge. However, a full voicing will take upwards of 3 to 4 hours to produce an even tone throughout your piano. That’s why it may be necessary to book a separate appointment to have your piano voiced.
Piano Regulation.
Does the touch of your piano feel uneven? If so, you may need to have your piano “regulated.” It’s impossible to control the sound of your piano without an even touch. That’s why if you feel, or even see, uneven keys on your piano, it may be time to have your piano action regulated. Because we charge by appointment (and will never ‘nickel and dime’ you) you may be able to ask your technician if your piano can be regulated during the initial tuning appointment.
Repairs.
Here at The Davis Academy of Music, we want you to feel completely supported and satisfied with your musical growth. That’s why we don’t charge for every single repair. In fact, if we can help repair and maintain your piano while we are their tuning your piano, we won’t charge you any extra. Ask a technician today if you hear or see any damage in your piano.
